There few things in this world that unite people as thoroughly as cats do and its for this reason that I bring Catlateral Damage by Chris Cheung to your attention. Catlateral Damage is a first person cat-simulator and if that doesn’t sell it to you then you must lack a soul.
The game is simple: you are a cat in a room with things. You must break these things. Simplicity is sometimes best right?
You will wreck TVs, break games consoles and scatter carefully organised DVDs and game cartridges as a hurricane of pissed-of-kitty. You don’t just play as a cat, you play as an asshole cat, and that’s just great! No Hello Kitty nonsense here thank you very much.
Currently Catateral Damage is in alpha and contains one very rough level but the developer is very open about his plans for the future of his game, which is expected to be greenlit on Steam shortly.
Future updates are expected to include more levels, better graphics and physics and perhaps most interestingly a “human element!” I personally can’t wait to see the human reaction to my moggie’s trail of chaos.
Seriously, watch this space. Catateral Damage is already causing quite a stir in the indie scene and with simple gameplay in a world currently obsessed with cats its difficult to see how this wont be a winner. You can play the game directly in your browser and download it here.
If you want to express an interest in this game check out the Steam greenlight and remember every little helps!
On a personal level, this game makes me happy I chose a house rabbit instead of a cat.
