According to a statement from the exchange, Binance will provide Web3 solutions for members of the Grammys as well as its events and initiatives throughout the year. The partnership is also the first of its kind between a cryptocurrency exchange and a global award event.

Panos Panay, the co-president of Recording Academy (the entity that runs the Grammys) and the chief product officer at Microsoft, said the move is part of the Grammys’ efforts to explore new monetization fronts and give new experiences for the music industry and the fans.

“Starting with the Grammys, we are excited to work together with the Recording Academy to bring fresh new experiences powered by blockchain and all the great things Web3 technology can bring to entertainment,” said Yi He, co-founder of Binance.

The partnership comes after Binance rolled out Bifinity, its official fiat-to-crypto payments provider, as it aims to boost crypto adoption and reach new users.
