Can you guess what were the most popular search terms people typed into Google‘s search engine over the past year? No prizes for that, but they were Chatroulette, iPad and Justin Bieber.
Based on the aggregation of billions of search queries, Google releases Google Zeitgeist, and has put together a great video that captures the spirit of 2010 to wrap up the year.
(“Zeitgeist” means “the spirit of the times”) For your convenience, they have grouped the data in categories: Entertainment, Sports, Consumer Electronics, Food & Drink, Maps Searches, People, News, Translations, Health Queries and Humanitarian Aid.
We have also summarized Singapore’s most searched terms. iPad and Justin Bieber are within Singaporeans’ search scope but not Chatroulette. Find out more here.
