This issue surfaced in 2007, but it seems like 3 years down the road, Google still hasn’t fixed the problem. Buzz has recently emerged again as netizens get a few LOLs from strange directions generated by Google Maps.
Search for directions between certain countries and if you really look through the directions you get, you might find something rather fishy: (click on pictures to enlarge)
Getting from USA to China involves Kayaking across the Pacific Ocean.
I guess since the distance between Japan and China is relatively nearer, you can jet ski across instead.
And since Taiwan and China are even nearer to each other, you could just swim there.
