Tech in Asia turns 5 years old

How greatly things can change in half a decade.

It feels like only yesterday when a bunch of us put our heads together to bring Asia’s startup ecosystem closer. We started by doing what we were most confident doing – covering the latest news in the ecosystem, publishing opinions, and making bold hires in key markets.

Since then, our editorial network has grown into a diverse team of passionate and talented journalists all across Asia and in the US.

From cosy networking sessions and modestly populated events, we have grown to organizing full-house meetups and hosting world-class personalities at full-scale, regional conferences. To equip us for the future, We now have entire departments dedicated to data and research, community efforts, and engineering.

Today, as Tech in Asia turns five, we look back on our journey thus far in the infographic below. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support we have from the ecosystem – investors, startups, corporates and you, our many readers, who have stood by our mission of connecting Asia’s tech ecosystem, online and offline.

Here’s to you, and to many more years ahead!
