In brief: Go-Jek expands financial services offering with P2P lender partnerships
Via Reuters:
Go-Jek said it had formed a strategic partnership with Indonesian peer-to-peer [P2P] lenders Findaya, Dana Cita, and Aktivaku.
“We believe that a strong collaboration between financial services providers and technology companies can reach a wider range of people who have difficulty accessing financial services, such as unbanked communities,” Go-Jek president Andre Soelistyo said in a statement.
The partnerships represent a further move into financial services for the ride-hailing firm, which has previously teamed up with Allianz and Bank Negara Indonesia to offer insurance and microloans, respectively, to the driver-partners and small businesses using its network.
Archrival Grab also moved into insurance and lending earlier this year when it partnered with Credit Saison and Chubb to offer loans and insurance through its new Grab Financial unit.
