Whatโ€™s Happening at #TheGMIC 2011?

Good morning from Beijing, China. Rick and I are both seated at different locations to live blog the GMIC event for you guys. Rick will be covering the main conference which includes keynotes by Sinaโ€™s CEO, Charles Chao, Skype ex-founder Niklas Zennstroem and Wang Jian, CEO of Alibaba Cloud Computing.

I will be covering the G-Start-up 2011 section. The start-up section will be filled with pitches by start-ups across Asia including China, Indonesia, Singapore and Korea. The event is warming up and people are slowly filling in. Sitting beside me is the co-founder of Bookrice, Stephen Chan. Bookrice is based in Hong Kong and will be pitching later as well.

We will also be tweeting to provide you with tidbits of updates in both events. You can follow the hash-tags #TheGMIC and #Gstartup to catch updates by other Twitter users too. Because weโ€™re live blogging, please pardon our occasional writing errors.
