In 2015, Gamevil wants to go deep into RPGs, sports, and strategy games

2014 was quite a year for Gamevil. The South Korean mobile gaming giant opened up two new offices in Singapore and Taiwan, and made US$37.65 million worth of sales in its fourth quarter alone. Now, it has detailed plans for the upcoming year in its newly released quarterly report (PDF link).

2015 will be “a year of growth and expansion as a global publisher,” the report writes. Gamevil will focus on the growth of its brand by operating a strong pipeline of games. This will include the following:

  • Overseas launches of “guaranteed blockbuster” titles Dragon Blaze, Zenonia Online, and Kritika.
  • Mobile gamification of famous PC MMORPGs (the two most recently announced projects are Kingdom Under Fire Online: Age of Storm and Devilian).
  • Launch of new hit franchises and high-quality titles like Perfect Inning 2015 KBO, Cartoon Wars 3, Monster Picker, and Guardian Wars.
  • Developing just one global build per game for use in all territories. This will include support for 15 languages.
  • Intensify global performance by localizing marketing, events, forum operation, and customer service.

Gamevil will also be launching approximately 20 games this year, with a focus on the RPG, strategy, and sports genres on top of its PC-to-mobile development. Games slated for launch in the first half of 2015 include the abovementioned titles and another RPG called Historia.
