Peak XV, Shorooq lead $10m round of crypto payments firm Triple-A

Singapore-based crypto payment gateway Triple-A has raised US$10 million in series A funding.
The round was led by Peak XV Partners and Shorooq Partners, which are both repeat investors. With the new funding, Triple-A said it will further develop its suite of products.

Founded in 2018 by fintech-focused entrepreneur Eric Barbier, Triple-A provides stablecoin- and blockchain-based payments, allowing global businesses to send and receive money faster.
The main tokens it supports include USDT, USDC, bitcoin, and ether. The company said it has served over 20,000 businesses and organizations, including Farfetch, Charles & Keith, Razer, and the Singapore Red Cross.
Triple-A also recently partnered with iStudio, the largest Apple products reseller in Singapore, to enable crypto payments at selected stores.
In 2021, Triple-A obtained a payments institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore – the first crypto payments firm to earn such approval. The company also has a payments license from the central bank of France and is registered with the US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network.
Triple-A has a team of over 70 employees and has offices in Singapore, Miami, Hong Kong, Paris, and Barcelona.
