Fourth time's the charm: CIS gets visas, will travel to TI4!

After quite a bit of trouble getting visas for some of its players, it seems Chinese Dota 2 team CIS has finally managed to secure them on the fourth (and final) try, meaning that the team will be able to travel to Seattle for TI4 next week. The team’s official account hasn’t yet made any announcements, but team member June posted to his weibo account:

In the fourth visa application…the whole team passed! When I learned we’d gotten visas I really nearly cried tears of happiness. Everything [the consular officer] asked was about Dota 2, they asked for my ID and when we formed the team. Thanks everyone for your thoughts, and thanks to everyone who gave help. However, it has now been ten days since we trained; we need to get back and get training.

Fellow CIS player Inflame has also said the interview went well:

Thank you! The consular officer even wanted my ID to add me as a friend; I hesitantly agreed.

Demons, the third CIS player still missing a visa, has similarly confirmed the good news:

We all got visas, thank you everyone for your help and support, we are extremely grateful!

As of this writing, the club itself still hasn’t posted official confirmation, but with all three of CIS’s visa-less players confirming things went well, that seems to be just a matter of time. Previously, June had tweeted that today’s visa run was their “last time” and that they’d be “going to Seattle or going home.” Thankfully, it turned out to be the former!
