I wouldn’t say I particularly enjoy driving, but I’m not terrible at it, at least. Still, if I had the choice and the money to get a chauffeur, I’d probably jump at the chance.

Besides that, the next best option would be to make getting around a lot more fun – perhaps, one day we’ll have fully functional flying cars to do just that. I’m hopeful, as today’s list features a company affiliated with a huge electric vehicle manufacturer and is looking to develop intelligent, electric-powered flying cars.

The biggest deals by country

🇨🇳 Backed by major EV maker Xpeng, HT Aero is a Chinese firm building a safe, intelligent, electric flying car. It has raised US$250 million in a series B round, though investors were not disclosed.

🇰🇷 Law&Company, a South Korean company that operates the legal service platform LawTalk, has secured US$35.9 million in series C money from Coolidge Corner Investment, Daesung Private Equity, and IMM Investment, among others.

🇸🇦 Lucidya is an AI-powered customer experience platform. Headquartered in Saudi Arabia, the firm has closed a US$30 million series B round, with investments from ARG, Impact46, Rua Growth Fund, SparkLabs Group, and Waed Ventures.

🇯🇵 Helical Fusion, a Japan-based startup developing a fusion reactor, has netted US$15.4 million in series A money. Participating investors included Aoki Super, Deepcore, and Daiwa House Group.
