We’ve just been told that Flocations, a Singapore travel discovery startup, is now powering budget airline AirAsia’s new app on Google Chrome.
Flocations is essentially a web service that lets users search for plane tickets by price. They can also set the desired destination and duration of their trip.
The AirAsia app aims to provide a more convenient way of booking air tickets in four steps. It offers a ‘Discovery’ mode, which brings up the familiar Flocations price slider and map we’re so used to seeing.
Flocations is also integrated with travel site South East Asia Backpacker. All it takes is inserting a few lines of code. Interested developers can contact the founders to assist with the integration.
The startup was an incubatee at the JFDI-Innov8 Bootcamp 2012, where it received seed funding of US$11.7k.
Following the Bootcamp, it received a term sheet from SingTel Innov8, although the company has declined to reveal if it has accepted the offer.
The team is also hiring, stating on their blog post that they’re seeking a community manager and web designer.
