Co-founders of popular Singapore map service, GoThere.sg, Dominic Ee, Ang Junhan, and Sam Kuan have finally released their next start-up idea: FlightLover.
We usually have to go to multiple airline sites to check for the best ticket price. FlightLover shortens users’ research process as all the needed information are available right on your iPhone . Through the FlightLover app, users can find the best ticket deals over a 3-month period, making the app great for travelers with a flexible schedule.
Those who have experience with budget airlines know that ticket prices fluctuate frequently which makes it difficult for travelers to keep track of the best deals. To curb that problem, FlightLover’s daily alerts help travelers to stay informed by sending a notification whenever prices to their favorite destinations fall within their budget.
“We realized there was no good and easy way to find and keep track of affordable tickets across all the major budget airlines. We believe there is a growing demand for affordable tickets and no frills flying, that’s why we built FlightLover to help recommend the best deals out of Singapore to over 50 destinations, including popular cities such as Bangkok, Hong Kong and Taipei,” said Ang Junhan, co-founder of FlightLover.
Similar to GoThere.sg, FlightLover is built not just on great content but also with great user experience in mind. “To us, building a product isn’t just about the technology. It is also about providing great user experience to the people,” said Ang. He also told Penn Olson that they receive feedback from users that apps like FlightLover should have existed years before.

Statistics show that users have been waiting for a travel app like FlightLover. Within the first week of launch, FlightLover received more than 2,000 paying customers and is currently rated 4 out of a possible 5 (iTunes link) on iTunes.
With good track record and a solid product, FlightLover has also attracted several investors’ attention. “We are flattered by the interest so far but we are not looking for investment at the moment,” said Ang.
App sales is currently FlightLover’s only revenue stream but the team is looking for other opportunities to generate more revenue. Nonetheless, the folks at FlightLover are focused on building a great product. Ang and his team is planning to launch FlightLover across 159 cities in 7 other countries. FlightLover users, you’re spoilt for choice.
“We found a great deal on FlightLover and are currently working out of Queenstown in New Zealand!” said Ang.
