In brief: Indonesian furniture e-tailer raises several million dollars
Ecommerce furniture and home appliances startup Dekoruma announced that it has raised series B funding of “several million dollars.” The investment was led by Global Digital Niaga (the company behind ecommerce site Blibli) and AddVentures, an investment company owned by Thai conglomerate Siam Cement Group.
Although the company started out selling furniture, Dekoruma has now developed a new interior design feature. Homeowners will be paired with appropriate interior designers. If the design has been made, they can connect with third parties who can do mechanical, electrical, and construction work.

Founded in 2016, Dekoruma claims to have run more than five hundred home design and renovation projects. Each has a transaction value of between US$4,600 and US$6,600. The startup’s furniture sales have increased fivefold in the past 18 months. In Indonesia, Fabelio and Livaza are sites that also sell furniture.
