In brief: Vietnamese fintech startup nabs 6-figure funding from regional VCs

Vietnam-based Finhay has closed a six-figure US dollar round from regional venture capital firms. The round was led by Singapore-based Insignia Venture Partners, with participation from Southeast Asia investor Rhombuz VC and Hong Kong-based Zeroth.ai.

Founded in 2017, Finhay is a mobile wealth management platform that allows users to invest in mutual funds based on their risk appetite. The startup uses machine learning to identify recommended investments for users. Finhay claims to have 13,000 registered accounts to date, and plans to use the new funding to “triple down resources in 2019” and grow its base.
