Indian spacetech firm SatSure bags $15m in series A money

India-based spacetech firm SatSure has raised US$15 million in its series A round, consisting of equity capital and venture debt. The round was led by Baring Private Equity Partners (BPEP) India and Promus Ventures.

SatSure will use the fresh funds to launch four high-resolution optical and multispectral satellites by the fourth quarter of 2025. It will also use the capital for product development and expansion of its operations across the Americas and Asia Pacific.

Founded in 2017, SatSure uses satellite imagery and AI to provide insights from space. Harnessing satellite data, the company provides its services to companies in the agricultural, climate, and infrastructure fields.

The firm also offers its data science capabilities to the banking, financial services, and insurance industry, helping clients mitigate financial risk and delivering data-driven insights.

SatSure is set to extend its outreach, invest in “low-earth orbit satellite assets,” and build innovative products that can show “the rise of the India private space sector and its deep-rooted alignment to our national space program,” CEO Prateep Basu said in a statement.

The company previously secured US$5 million in its pre-series A round led by BPEP India.
