27 People you’ll Meet on Facebook

facebook sillyHave you ever tried categorizing your Facebook friends?

Artists from the Joy of Tech have some suggestions for you. From the PR people to the narcissists, the comic has captured it all.

I particularly like the one on the right. Being in that same age group, I realized many peers aren’t aware about the dark side of social media. We’re responsible for what we share on Facebook, Twitter and even on our personal blogs.

We previously shared one classic example to illustrate the wrath of social media.

Connor Riley, a 22-year-old pursuing her master’s degree sent out a tweet saying:

Cisco just offered me a job! Now I have to weigh the utility of a fatty paycheck against the daily commute to San Jose and hating the work.

Cisco employee, Tim Levad saw it and responded through his own Twitter:

Who is the hiring manager? I’m sure they would love to know that you will hate the work. We here at Cisco are versed in the Web.

Although social media could bring harm, it could also boost your career if you embraced it. For starters, sign up for a LinkedIn profile and make sure you don’t spew vulgarities or share indecent photos on Twitter and Facebook.

Alright, now the comic:
