At Reuters’s Global Technology Summit on Thursday, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg have again cemented Facebook’s intention to enter China.
“Our company mission is really clear, which is we want to connect the whole world,” said Sandberg. “And it’s impossible to think about connecting the whole world right now without also connecting China.”
It was also revealed that Mark Zuckerberg has planned to visit China again this year. The agenda and dates were unconfirmed.
In Zuckerberg’s trip to China last year, companies which he visited include Sina, Alibaba and Baidu. It was also rumored that Facebook and Baidu have something ongoing that could possibly bring the social network to China.
