Ever wondered what the badass schoolgirl from Kill Bill is up to these days? She stars in game commercials now

Chiaki Kuriyama, the beautiful actress who played Gogo Yubari in Kill Bill, is now starring in a new Puyo Puyo Quest commercial, and it’s weird.

The actress, who also starred in Ju On and Battle Royale, plays multiple characters in varied getups in the promotional video. She commented that her favorite outfit was the gangster getup in red.

The game itself, Puyo Puyo Quest, is a free-to-play game by Sega Networks, and has already garnered eight million downloads. The popular game combines elements of the Puyo Puyo puzzle system with the enemy and battle system of Puzzles & Dragons.

When asked if she had a message for the fans, Kuriyama replied in Japanese:

Puyo Puyo is a series with a long history, but Puyo Puyo Quest is a game with double the fun. Lots of interesting characters make an appearance, so I think fans will really, really enjoy this game. I managed to get a nine-chain combo when I played this game while filming the commercial, but I really feel like I want to get an even longer combo. ‘I’ll do it next time!’ —that kind of exciting feeling, it really stirs up inside you.

Puyo Puyo Fever is currently only available in the Japanese App Store and on Google Play, so you may not get to play the game unless you’re currently residing in Japan. You’ll just have to live vicariously through Kuriyama excitedly getting her nine-chain combo in the video below.
