It is great to witness how the world unites to help Japan.
Not only has Google played an important role, Groupon Japan has also started a donation campaign for the Japan quake victims. The effort has so far raised more than 27 million yen (US $330,000).
The money will be donated to the Red Cross Society to aid Japan in quake relief. Besides setting up the campaign on its site, Groupon will match the donations made by donors. For example, a $100 donation is equivalent to $200 in total.

In Japan
This morning, I was awaken by the vibration of my phone. It was an earthquake early warning system which meant that a big quake had occurred somewhere nearby and will probably hit our area soon. Fortunately, it was a false report for our area but other quakes had broken out in various parts in Japan.
In central Tokyo, a number of office workers spent the night either in their offices or evacuation spots because the lifts aren’t working. The media reported that more than 9,000 people stayed near Shinjuku Station. Officials reported that at least 350 people were dead and about 500 missing.
I hope rescue will arrive as soon as possible.
