EO Singapore launches inaugural Global Student Entrepreneur Award

Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Singapore, a global network of entrepreneurs, is now accepting applications for the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA), a competition for students that have started a business while attending Junior College, Polytechnic or University. Students need to be primarily responsible for the operation of a business that has been running for no less than six consecutive months.

Selected applicants will present their businesses to a panel of judges consisting of Singapore’s leading entrepreneurs during the GSEA Singapore Competition on 9th September 2013 held at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

The panel of judges includes Tony Seow, Founder of Purple Sage Group, Samuel Lim, CEO of Reebonz, Patrick Cheo, CEO of Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group, Cheo Ming Shen, Executive Director of Netccentric Group, Lynn Tan, Managing Director of Fusion Cosmetics, Ken Koh, Managing Director of Talentpreneur Hub and Violet Lim, CEO of Lunch Actually Group.

The top 5 winners of this competition will head to the GSEA Regional Finals in Malaysia where they will compete with finalists from Japan, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines.

The top winner of each country will attend the GSEA Global Finals in the United States to compete with the world’s top student entrepreneurs. The winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize while top-ranked competitors at the Global Finals will be awarded with more than US$150,000 in web services, printing, PR, consulting and more.
