Hello readers,

How’s your January going so far?

Mine’s going pretty well, thank you for asking. But it seems like Lalamove has one-upped most of us with its US$1.3 billion series F funding round.

The Hong Kong-headquartered logistics startup has had a pretty good past few months. In October, Lalamove announced its expansion to the US, where the company aims to capture a share of the US$13 billion on-demand delivery service market, and just last month, it banked US$515 million in series E funding.

Lalamove is still looking to secure another US$200 million to close its series F round, which would bring its valuation to around US$10 billion.

It seems like it really is a happy new year for the soon-to-be decacorn.

You can find all other important investment deals that happened in the last few days in our weekly funding news wrap-up.

Let’s dive into the biggest deals and M&As that recently took place.
