Yarken secures Betatron backing to tackle finops in US, Europe

As enterprises race to adopt AI and shift to the cloud, some are hitting a wall.

In a report by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology last year, it was found that only 5% of AI pilots in enterprises achieve the revenue increase promised from adopting the tech.

Yarken, an Auckland-headquartered startup, is stepping in to solve this with an AI-native IT financial management (ITFM) and FinOps platform.

The company announced today that it has secured a strategic investment led by Singapore’s Betatron Venture Group, with participation from Switzerland’s Tenity and other strategic investors.

The new funding will be used to fuel Yarken’s global expansion into the US, Europe, and Asia.

AI-first advantage

Founded in 2022, Yarken distinguishes itself from traditional tools that focus primarily on static dashboards. Instead, the platform emphasizes agentic AI workflows.

A core problem Yarken addresses is the “double bubble” effect, its founder and CEO Ravi Kuppan tells Tech in Asia. This refers to the challenge organizations face in maintaining legacy systems while simultaneously transitioning to new tech stacks.

To alleviate this, Kuppan says Yarken’s goal is to provide its clients with more visibility into their tech spending and give them the levers to fine-tune this spending moving forward.

Before this round, the company last raised capital in May 2025, raising an undisclosed amount in a round led by 1982 Ventures. At the time, the company said it would use the funding to acquire more customers in North America.

Now, the strategy for Yarken is to further grow its presence in that market, as well as Europe and Asia.

Kuppan says that the US is the largest market for FinOps and ITFM, as it currently has the largest amount of tech spend. For Europe, the CEO says the market is facing tailwinds due to the current tariff landscape.
