Also called LongHashX Cohort 8, the new program marks Terra’s first-ever accelerator. In the past, LongHash Ventures has launched similar programs with other blockchain companies such as Polkadot, Filecoin, and Algorand.
Participants can get US$200,000 in upfront investment and up to US$300,000 in additional capital after completing the program. They will also get workshops and learnings on product strategy, tokenomics, governance, community building, and fundraising.
Terra is a public blockchain protocol that looks to bring decentralized finance to the masses. In late 2019, it announced the plan to expand to Southeast Asia with Singapore as its regional hub.

LongHash Ventures is backed by Fenbushi Capital, HashKey Capital, and Enterprise Singapore. Through its accelerator program, the firm has helped the development of companies such as Mintable, Acala, Balancer, and Zapper.
The Singapore-based VC announced its seventh cohort in October last year, investing in nine startups as part of the program.
