Elevation Capital co-leads $5.2m round of Indian makeup and beauty learning startup
India-based online makeup and beauty learning platform Airblack said it has raised US$5.2 million in a new funding round.

- Airblack said it would use the fresh funds to accelerate the expansion of Beauty Club, its live learning platform for makeup and beauty enthusiasts.
- It would also invest in its product and engineering departments and is actively hiring across its engineering, design, and operations teams.
- Airblack started as a travel startup in 2019. But according to an Entrackr report, the company shifted to the online makeup and beauty space last year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Since the pivot, Airblack said more than 250,000 users have attended its beauty and makeup courses on its platform. It has also clocked over 45,000 hours of live classes every month, according to the startup.
