EdServ, Tata Docomo To Offer Mobile Video Learning For IIT and AIEEE Exam Preparation

With increasing the adoption of mobile phones in India, consuming content has never been easier — from reading an article on your favourite website/blog or watching video news on the go.

To leverage this massive mobile adoption, Chennai-based e-learning company, Edserv has announced that it has tied up with an Indian telecom operator Tata Docomo to offer its educational content on mobile phones.

Available to all Tata Docomo subscribers across India, this service will be called ‘Tutor on Mobile’ (TOM). It will offer test preparation content for IIT JEE and AIEEE exam preparation. Content will come in the form of videos, text, images, live interactions, and podcasts.

Elaborating on the new mobile offerings, S. Giridharan, Chairman and CEO of EdServ, said:

Enabling the Service

If you are a Tata Docomo subscriber, you can subscribe to Tutor on Mobile (TOM) by sending a text message with keyword ‘TOM’ to 5333300 (toll-free).

The service will be cost Rs 30 (60¢) per month and each video will be priced between Rs 5 (10¢) and Rs 10 (20¢). But as an introductory offer, Tata Docomo has waived the subscription charges for the first month.
