Asia’s first region-wide FIFA Online 3 tournament has been announced! Sponsored by FIFA Online 3 developer Spearhead, the three-day long invitational will take place from August 28 to 30, in Seoul, South Korea.
Seven teams from South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia will be competing, with the first team from China coming in fresh from a competition held at the recently-concluded ChinaJoy 2014. The other teams will be selected from yet-to-be-announced country qualifiers.
The Spearhead tournament is one officially sanctioned by EA Korea, and will be broadcasted live in seven language. The stream will be available on channels such as Spotv Games, Naver, Afreeca TV, Tencent Game Arena, Garena Talktalk, Youtube, and on the official FIFA Online 3 homepage of each country.

Director of EA Korea, Suzie Kim, has promised that both EA and Spearhead will “show what eSports means on EA’s scale to all Asian users.”
However, prize money and qualifier details have yet to be announced, so here’s hoping EA Korea truly has something epic in store.
