Dota 2’s The International 4 Compendium hits its final $6 million stretch goal

The Dota 2 community set a new record this year, with The International prize pool just hitting $6 million, unlocking the final stretch goal for all The International 4 (TI4) Compendium owners.

In just ten days, all 13 stretch goals have been unlocked, with the final stretch goal reward being base customization, or the ability to modify the way your base looks in Dota 2.

$6 million is a lot of money, but here are some extra figures to make it look even bigger—the current prize pool is more than twice of last year’s ($2.8 million) and almost four times the base prize pool of $1.6 million.

This is the second year that the Compendium has been offered as part of The International Dota 2 tournament, but it’s the first time that the final stretch goal has been hit, which is testament to the growth of Dota 2 over a single year.

With the prize pool showing no signs of plateauing anytime soon, we can only hope that Valve will add additional stretch goals to finally tempt those who are still on the fence about buying a Compendium.
