Dota 2 Overflowing Compendium update: couriers, emoticons, weather effects, and live rewind

The International 2014 (TI4) Compendium owners, check your inventories because this week’s Dota 2 update includes the Lieutenant Squawkins styles, the mini Pudge courier, chat emoticons, and in-game weather effects rewards. Valve has also introduced the live rewind feature.

Compendium couriers

While all players will be getting additional styles on their Lieutenant Squawkins and Pudgling couriers, players with higher Compendium levels can unlock more styles on both couriers.

Chat emoticons

All Compendium owners also get 25 animated Dota 2 emoticons which can only be used in-game. This is different from the Dota 2 icons you get from earning Steam badges; you have to be inside the Dota 2 client for these to work, and they won’t be available when chatting via the Steam client.

Weather effects

Remember the Warcraft 3 (WC3) Dota weather effects? Compendium owners will now get them in Dota 2. There are three in-game weather effects: snow, moonlight, and rain, and only one can be equipped at any time. The effect will only be visible to you, and unlike the HUDs and announcer packs, these effects can’t be shared in the content tab.
