TiE SINGAPORE, in collaboration with KOCHHAR & CO and RODYK, is organizing a public talk seminar series on “Doing Business in India: Emerging Issues and Solutions.” Mr Manishi Pathak, Senior Partner at KOCHHAR & CO, is the guest speaker.
This seminar will attempt to highlight the legal and commercial issues that typically arise in doing business in India, and answer pressing concerns such as foreseeing emerging trends and taking advantage of such trends to grow businesses. In particular, the discussion will cover the risks and opportunities of doing business in India, foreign direct investment & foreign exchange laws, practical issues related to real estate, joint ventures, anti-corruption laws, labour & employment and litigation.
The speaker, Mr Manishi Pathak, will draw on more than 20 years of experience advising corporate and individuals seeking to set up/ expand business operations in India to illustrate some of the challenges and issues that clients face in India. The discussion will also touch upon the India-Singapore Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA), and the advantages of using Singapore as a base to do business in India.
