Docomo Shows Off 24 New Mobile Devices, Including 14 New Smartphones

This afternoon in Tokyo, Docomo (NYSE:DCM) rolled out its new Winter/Spring lineup of mobile devices, including 14 new smartphones, one tablet, and eight feature phones. Its smartphones have been recategorized into ‘Next’ and ‘With’ series. Seven models of phones will feature dual-core CPUs, five models come with HD displays, and four can take advantage of Docomo’s Xi LTE service.
All of Docomo’s smartphones are equipped for Docomo’s ‘Area Mail’ transmissions of earthquake early warnings, which is certainly good news.

There was only one tablet added to Docomo’s lineup, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. It’s a 7-inch tablet that is 10mm thin, with a 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU. This makes five tablets offered in total, if you include two two recently announced Sony tablets, as well as the previous Fujitsu and Samsung offerings.
Here’s a quick rundown with pictures of the smartphones from today’s event:
