SoftBank co-leads Chinese self-driving vehicle firm’s series B round

Neolix, a China-based autonomous vehicle firm, said it had closed a new round of funding in early 2021 to raise an undisclosed multimillion-dollar investment amount.

More funding details

  • Lead investors: CICC Capital and SoftBank Ventures Asia
  • Returning investors: Yunqi Capital and Glory Ventures
  • Stage: Series B

More company updates

  • Neolix will use the new funds to broaden its range of services and extend the reach of its vehicle network to more local and global markets.
  • The investment comes after the company secured its first batch of on-road licenses for its autonomous delivery vehicles in Beijing’s high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone in May.
  • Meanwhile, Beijing’s Yizhuang Development Area also recently established 5G coverage throughout the district for driverless vehicle testing.
  • To date, Neolix has deployed and delivered nearly 1,000 autonomous vehicles in nine countries and over 30 cities worldwide, with a cumulative safe-driving mileage of over 1.3 million kilometers.
