Singapore-based Crypto.com has launched Amy, an AI-powered chatbot designed to help users learn about digital assets.
Developed on OpenAI’s ChatGPT, the tool provides near real-time information about tokens, projects, price listings, and historical events, acting as an expert for those looking to invest in digital assets. It does not offer financial advice, however.
Currently in the beta phase, the chatbot is accessible to select users on Crypto.com’s Price feature. It will soon be open to more users and incorporated into the firm’s other services.
Crypto.com plans to apply insights from this pilot stage to its ongoing rollout and future AI-powered projects.
The firm was founded in 2016 by Kris Marszalek, Bobby Bao, Gary Or, and Rafael Melo and has since amassed 80 million customers, the company says.
After laying off 20% of its global workforce earlier this year due to “unforeseeable industry events,” Crypto.com secured a preparatory license in Dubai, moving it closer to an operational license that will allow the firm to offer its services in the United Arab Emirates.
