TGV topped up a further US$2 million to its earlier investment in January, where its US$100 million TGV 4 Plus fund poured US$3 million into Enjinstarter.
TGV founding partner Kelly Choo told Tech in Asia that Enjinstarter aligned with the firm’s Web3 focus and had promise due to its global ambitions to expand into the US, Dubai, and Turkey where the major Blockchain gaming and Metaverse innovations are happening.
Singapore-based Enjinstarter launched in October 2021 as a blockchain gaming, metaverse, and entertainment-focused launchpad for initial DEX offerings (IDO) and initial non-fungible token (NFT) offerings.
It helps creators and game developers run capital-raising campaigns and build communities using blockchain technology.
The company’s platform is built on Enjin’s JumpNet system, but it is owned and operated independently. Co-founded by Maxim Blagov and Witek Radomski, Enjin is a blockchain firm developing products that make it easy for everyone to use NFTs.
Meanwhile, TGV is a global Web3 investor that has backed companies like Animoca Brands and The Sandbox. It recently closed its US$146 million TGV 4 Plus follow-on fund, dedicated to Web3 companies operating across the AI, financial services, entertainment and gaming, and infrastructure and data analytics sectors.
