VIETNAM – 11 AUG 2025 – CONVICTION 2025, Vietnam’s largest festival dedicated to Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence (AI), concluded on August 10 after two days of record-breaking attendance, world-class speakers, and strategic collaborations. Organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Electronics and Communications Association with the core leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City Blockchain Association (HBA) and powered by the Ninety Eight blockchain ecosystem, the event brought together policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs, and developers from across the globe, reinforcing Ho Chi Minh City’s position as a rising Web3 hub in Southeast Asia.

Over the course of 48 hours, 27,000 attendees from across Vietnam and around the world checked in to CONVICTION 2025, cementing its status as the country’s leading event. The festival featured 150+` speakers, 40+ in-depth research presentations and panels, and an expansive exhibition floor showcasing innovative products, services, and solutions from leading blockchain and AI companies.
High-level participation included prominent government leaders such as Dr. Thang Van Phuc, Former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, and Dr. Tran Chien Thang, Former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee alongside senior officials from Ho Chi Minh City’s key departments. The luxury fashion industry saw a breakthrough collaboration between IP Agency, Ninety Eight, and Joli Poli to implement NFT-based provenance tracking for bespoke wedding gowns, an innovative step toward combating counterfeits and strengthening brand trust.
In the field of record authentication, IPC Global Network, Ninety Eight, and Vietkings announced the adoption of blockchain to issue, store, and manage world and national records as NFTs, ensuring authenticity, ownership rights, and long-term preservation.
Talent development was also a priority. The Ninety Eight Scholarship, valued at 1 billion VND (~USD 40,000), was awarded to nearly 100 students from Vietnam’s leading universities. Beyond financial support, the scholarship provides opportunities for training and internships within the blockchain sector, building a skilled workforce ready to contribute to the nation’s digital economy.
