Connectindia.in Hits 100,000 Customers Milestone, On Track For $5 Million Annual Revenue

Connectindia.in is an internet and mobile plan e-commerce marketplace in India which recently announced passing its 100,000 customers milestone. The e-commerce site allows users to select the most cost-effective mobile plan across major telcos in India by keying in their needs, such as local call usage and SMS consumption (see image above).
Connectindia is available in 40 cities across India and has partnered with telcos, including Reliance, Tata Docomo, Airtel, Idea, and MTS. It also claims to be India’s largest internet and mobile plans e-commerce marketplace and says it helps its customers save more than 50 percent on their monthly bills.
Impressively, the company is on track to hit Rs.25 cr (US$5 million) in annual revenue this year. Connectindia is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vriti which raised $5 million from Intel Capital and JAFCO Asia last year.
On a related note, we also previously wrote about 3GSimplified, a start-up which provides a similar service but only has the search results of telcos who provide 3G mobile services or data cards. It serves 25 cities across the country. But India is surely a large enough market to have two major players in the internet and mobile plan e-commerce marketplace.
