Hello reader,

In case you somehow didn’t know, Tech in Asia hosts an annual flagship conference. For the most part, it’s been held in Jakarta because of the city’s huge, bustling tech and startup scene.

However, it’s become increasingly evident that Southeast Asia’s rise as a tech hub is not due to just one or two key markets. The whole region has a lot to offer, which is why we’re branching out and putting on similar events in Vietnam and Malaysia this year, on top of our usual slate.

Check them out, and maybe register your early interest?

Anyway, I didn’t bring this up just to do some advertising, I swear on me mum. The diverse, international nature of the funding deals this week – India, China, Japan, and more – simply serves as a reminder of how much potential exists all around us.

Read on to take a little whirlwind trip around Asia Pacific.
