“We’ll be raising our series A of US$4 million in September 2019 since things are looking very good,” Max von Poelnitz, CEO and founder of Nosh and Spoonful, told Tech in Asia.

Poelnitz said the latest round was led by an investor from Europe, which is “asking to stay anonymous.”

Nosh is also backed by Alibaba through the ecommerce giant’s Entrepreneurs Fund.

The business operates a central kitchen business model that produces all its food and brands in house. As part of the latest funding, Nosh said it will work closely with its partner, Foodpanda.

The company also announced that it will rebrand its corporate business and its app to Spoonful, allowing corporates to order from its self-operated, delivery-only restaurants: Nosh, GA, Rustico, and/or Sesami. It said the service will launch in Singapore in September.

Spoonful serves landlords and businesses by offering their staff access to lunch options at wholesale prices with free delivery.
