Today is July 1 and it is the 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC). There isn’t any Google doodle to commemorate today, but China doesn’t seem to be falling short of such doodle as hundreds or even thousands of websites in the country have turned their designs into communist red.
We have taken the plunge to gather some of communist-ic web designs for your pleasure reading on a Friday evening.
Not all the websites are very excited about turning their design red. Some even provide an option for users to switch back to the original interface while some designs were so poorly photoshopped that it reflects little sincerity in going red. It also seems like all of the Chinese search engines, including Baidu, Soso, Sohu aren’t into this CPC thingy.

This is probably one of the longest scrolls on the Internet. Head over to their site to experience it yourself.
2. Renren.com
China’s Facebook-like social network doesn’t look very red today. All it did was a simple logo tweak. Tsk, tsk Renren!
