Chinese LOL legend Misaya talks Paris, All-Star 2014, and his hopes for OMG

Misaya may have retired from competitive play, but he’s been pulled back into the fray for this week’s All-Star event, and we’ve already seen some video of him messing around with his former teammate Caomei as they prepare for the competition. But what else is he up to? Chinese gaming site Duowan landed an exclusive interview with the player, which I’ve translated in full below:

Duowan: Since arriving in Paris, have you stuck together with Caomei, WeiXiao, and the OMG team?

Misaya: Since arriving yesterday, I’ve been together constantly with Caomei and WeiXiao. There were too many people, so we split up [with OMG] for our activities.

And how is everyone feeling since arriving?

Since getting to Paris we’ve been feeling pretty good. The weather is great, and the cozy atmosphere on our street in Paris makes us feel good. And of course, knowing that we’ve finally come to the location of All-Star, we can’t help but be a little excited!

Have you had time to go shopping? Who has the most active person been since you got there?

Yeah, yesterday we didn’t have any other plans so everybody wandered around a block of Paris, and we all visited the Eiffel Tower together. Everyone’s feeling very excited after arriving in Paris; Caomei in particular is very lively!

We’re only two days away from All-Star; are there any official activities you have to participate in?

Yeah, today WeiXiao and Caomei had to go do some shooting for Team Ice and Team Fire promos, and I had to go to the event location today for some interviews and reporting. This evening all the All-Star players will attend a banquet together.

Have you found any Chinese fans in Paris?

The people who showed us around yesterday were Chinese students studying here that are fans.

Tonight you’ll meet all the All-Star players; is there anyone you’re looking forward to meeting?

Yes, I especially want to see all the SKT players, and I also want to see my old opponents like Alex, Froggen, ToyZ, etc.! I want to battle with each of those old opponents again. I may have retired, but my desire to be the strongest remains.
