In brief: Swiggy in talks with Korean firms for potential $500m round, sources say
- India-based food ordering app Swiggy is in talks with Korean funds such as Korea Investment Partners, Mirae Asset Management, STIC Investments, and Neoplux for a potential US$500 million round, The Economic Times reported, citing two people familiar with the development.
- The round is reportedly led by South African internet giant Naspers, Swiggy’s largest investor, which owns an almost 40% stake in the company.
- There is also a secondary share sale being worked out, which could value Swiggy at around US$4 billion.
