In brief: Huawei accuses US of bullying, to work with Google on response to ban
- Chinese telecoms giant Huawei accused the US of “bullying” and said it was working with Google for a response to the recently imposed trade restrictions, reported Reuters, citing senior executive Abraham Liu.
- “This is not just an attack against Huawei. It is an attack on the liberal, rules-based order,” Liu added. Google declined to comment on the matter.
- The US government previously said it imposed the restrictions because of Huawei’s alleged involvement in activities that oppose its national security or foreign policy interests.
