A silly robber caught on video never fails to entertain Internet users. Meet China’s “Window smashing” burglar, who smashed the bulletproof glass using a hammer. Did I say bulletproof? Yes and he was apparently extremely determined to crack it open. In the video below, he was seen smashing the glass for more than 4 minutes before climbing over to the office area and start stealing.
According to Baidu, the “window-smashing brother” (砸窗哥) ranks within the top three of its popular figure search list. On Tudou, a Chinese video streaming site, multiple versions of the video can be found with thousands of views each.
Many Tudou users commented that the burglar was overly calm when smashing the glass window and that triggered suspicion over whether the video was intentionally made just to capture viewers’ attention. If that were really the case, the video had surely succeeded to capture eyeballs. Perhaps, this viral video could be a great campaign for a company that produces bulletproof glass. It would be quite a creative campaign, wouldn’t it?
