China preps for craziest ever shopping spree as Singles Day looks set to top $20b
China’s Singles Day, the country’s equivalent of Cyber Monday, is expected to be the biggest ever this year amid the ongoing boom in online shopping.
All is set for November 11, the day of sales and splurging. It will see Alibaba, JD, Amazon, and dozens of other Chinese rivals sell an anticipated US$20 billion in stuff, judging by the growth rate of the past few years.
