Are these images from Blade & Soul 2?

Blade & Soul, NCSoft’s fantasy MMO, may not have an English version yet, but that hasn’t stopped the game from being a massive hit in its native Korea and in China. It even got an anime series in Japan! With the game’s massive success, it’s no surprise that a sequel is probably in the cards. But has work on Blade & Soul 2 already begun?

That certainly seems possible after some images, rumored to be assets for Blade & Soul 2, leaked out of a Shanghai-based developer that may have been hired to produce some of the game’s art. And I’ve got to admit, the images certainly do seem in line with the original Blade & Soul‘s style.

Then again, ‘scantily clad (and weirdly shiny) ladies and beefy dudes’ is hardly a unique approach to character design in Asian MMOs. What do you think? Are we looking at a preview of characters from the upcoming sequel to Blade & Soul? Fair warning, by the way: a couple of these images are probably NSFW, although there’s no actual nudity.
