In brief: Bytedance files for 3 fintech-related trademarks in China
Bytedance has filed for three trademarks in the business category of insurance and financial services, signaling its possible expansion into fintech. A search on the official site of the trademark office of China’s national intellectual property administration shows that Bytedance has filed for a trademark called Zijiefu, which roughly translates as BytePay. The filings are still pending approval, according to the trademark office.
