Byju’s assures investors of FY 2022 earnings audit by September

Byju’s is once again planning to submit its financial statements with a delay, the company noted in a meeting with shareholders. This time, it looks to file its financials for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022 by September, Tech in Asia has learned.

The edtech firm previously filed its financial statements for FY 2021 in September 2022.

CEO Byju Raveendran said in the same meeting that most of the company’s verticals are performing well.

The meeting follows the resignation of Byju’s auditor Deloitte, which said that it was unable to complete its audit of the company’s FY 2022 financials due to long delays. The edtech firm also saw three of its board members step down, with Raveendran saying that the media had been prematurely informed about their resignations.

Tech in Asia has reached out to Byju’s to learn more.

A recent report from the Hindu Business Line revealed that some employees have accused Byju’s parent company, Think and Learn, of not paying the provident fund part of their salaries for several months. The report also cited data from the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation showing these discrepancies.
