Hello reader,
Happy Vesak Day to everyone who celebrates it!
When I interviewed for Tech in Asia, one of the first things I was asked was – naturally – about my interest in the tech scene.
Up until that point, I didn’t have much knowledge about the business side of things. What I did know was that the variety of technologies in the industry fascinated me because it meant that I could learn about many new things.
One day, I’d be reading or writing about some cutting-edge advancements in some obscure field of artificial intelligence, and the next, I could be figuring out how robotics were helping to save lives.
Today’s list of investment deals follows a similar pattern: Each company is considered a tech firm, but they’re all dealing in vastly different verticals.
