“This funding will give us the impetus to fine-tune and more aggressively market our platform and app in our target business cities of Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shenzhen,” David Wong, co-founder and CEO of Booqed, said.
“In an increasingly flexible work environment, Booqed is set to help reshape how business space is used to drive utilization and providing corporates with a convenient on-demand booking and payment system to reserve spaces hourly, daily, or monthly.”
Started in 2016, Booqed is a digital marketplace that allows individuals and corporates to access and book flexible meeting, work, and event spaces. It facilitates transactions between clients and landlords, helping landlords monetize their unused spaces.
Booqed joined the inaugural proptech accelerator program of real estate firm Colliers and startup accelerator Techstars in Toronto last year.
Subsequently, Colliers selected Booqed for a regional partnership in Hong Kong and Singapore to manage shorter-term office space needs for its clients, according to a statement.
The Booqed platform, which is available in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shenzhen, has over 30 corporate clients and 1,600 listings across nine Asian cities. Majority of its clientele primarily operate in the financial services, consulting, insurance, retail, and services industries.
