Blazblue: Chronophantasma 1.1 patch released for the PS3, Kokonoe rightfully nerfed
A patch to update the Playstation 3 version of Blazblue: Chronophantasma (BBCP), which introduces a whole bunch of character tweaks to balance the game, has just been released on the Japanese PSN store, with the other region PSN stores soon to follow.
Post changes, the console version will reflect the current version of BBCP being played in Japanese arcades. Here are a few highlights:
Terumi
The hooded snake master gains a new version of his Orochi Burensen overdrive that hits low instead of overhead, so you can now do crazy 50/50 mixups using overdrives, if you’re a betting man.
He also gains another new move that allows him to shoot a diagonal chain upwards to snag on enemies. The regular version must be air barrier blocked, and the overdrive version is unblockable.
Kokonoe
She has received too many nerfs to name individually, but basically she got nerfed on pretty much every front—she has a larger hitbox, smaller range on many moves, less damage, and more combo proration.
She’s not a weak character post-patch though, which is a testament to how broken she was before.
